Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

By Christopher Durang
Directed by Gregg Lloyd

October 24-26 and 29-31

Laugh out loud as the three adult children of deceased college professors run amuck in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Sonia and her brother, Vanya, live in their family home, have never left and have never grown up. They have been supported by Masha, their movie-star sister. Masha’s star is fading, and she returns to the family home determined to sell the property and to prod her siblings into self-responsibility. Neither goal appears to work out. Hollywood glamour collides with country simplicity, and the whole county erupts in chaos. Throw in a boy toy, an aspiring actress and a prophetic cleaning woman, and you are in for a hilarious, ridiculous look at family, culture and regrets. Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play.
