Our interdisciplinary International Culture and Business minor combines the study of global business practices with linguistic and cultural competency. Gain knowledge of the international business arena while developing cross-cultural communication skills. Consider enhancing your experience by earning credits toward the minor while immersing yourself in another culture via a study abroad program. Embrace the fusion of culture and commerce while preparing for a successful career in business or international consulting.

Degree Requirements

Eighteen credits are required, as shown below (courses three credits each)

- FREN 301 - Grammar and Composition
- FREN 303 - Reading and Writing Seminar in French
- GERM 301 - Grammar and Composition
- GERM 303 - German Composition
- SPAN 301 - Grammar and Composition
- SPAN 303 - Spanish in the Digital Age
Select one:
- FREN 314 - Business French
- GERM 314 - Business German
- SPAN 314 - Business Spanish
Select one:
- SOCL 201 - Global Social Problems
- GEOG 210 - Introduction to Human Geography
- Three study abroad transfer credits approved by the director of the Luter School of Business or chair of the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures.
MLAN 308 - Cross-Cultural Awareness
Business majors must complete six credits in the business core.
Non-business majors take:
- BUSN 303 - Fundamentals of Business, and one of the following:
- BUSN 300 - Organizational Behavior
- BUSN 311 - Marketing Management, or
- FINC 300 - Managerial Finance
