Christopher Newport has a vibrant and growing fraternity and sorority community that enriches campus life. We have 22 recognized fraternities and sororities that are active participants in either the College Panhellenic Council (CPC), the Interfraternity Council (IFC), or the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).
These organizations have created a foundation of brotherhood/sisterhood, scholarship, community service/philanthropy and character on campus.
Students in fraternity and sorority life are among the most selfless and successful, and many hold leadership positions on campus:
- The all-Greek cumulative GPA is consistently above the campus cumulative GPA.
- Fraternity and sorority members put in thousands of hours of service in our local community annually.
- Chapters continually raise tens of thousands of dollars annually for philanthropic organizations.
Each fraternity and sorority is unique, and all offer members a connection with fellow students and alumni through relationships that continue long after college.
