At 4:00 p.m. Chair Hatten called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone present. Chair Hatten thanked Dr. Holland and Ms. Wason for agreeing to serve with him on this ad hoc committee – the Announcement Committee – of the Presidential Search Committee.

Chair Hatten explained that this public meeting was called by the Announcement Committee pursuant to § 2.2-3712(B) of the Code of Virginia, to announce that within the next 15 days, the full Search Committee will hold a Closed Meeting with search consultant, Buffkin / Baker, at an undisclosed location for the purpose of interviewing candidates for the position of President of Christopher Newport University.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:08 p.m.
