How to Apply
The programs in applied physics and computer science, environmental science, and teaching have two admission routes: a traditional two-year format and a five-year bachelor’s-to-master’s program. Financial analysis is a traditional one-year program. All graduate programs can also be completed on a part-time basis.
If you are Christopher Newport junior (65 credit hours complete) interested in the master’s programs in applied physics and computer science, environmental science, or teaching, you can apply to a bachelor’s to master’s five-year program. These programs allow qualifying Christopher Newport undergraduates to begin taking graduate-level classes in their senior year, complete their bachelor’s degree at Christopher Newport and stay to earn a master’s degree with one additional year. You must follow the recommended curriculum and take courses in the summer after completing your bachelor’s degree.
If you are in your senior year or have earned a bachelor’s degree at a regionally accredited university or college with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, apply to our traditional master's programs.
