Funding the Future
Now more than ever, our world needs leaders who can apply advanced critical and creative thinking to problem solving, strategically adapt to change, communicate effectively across a wide variety of platforms and leverage a diverse array of leadership skills.
Through the generosity of Judy and Harry Wason, we will offer a new scholarship in the fall of 2021 that will enable high-ability, civic-minded students the opportunity to gain real-world policy experience through Wason Center programs, earning a degree with a dual major in the subject that they love and in Christopher Newport’s new interdisciplinary major in leadership.
No matter what profession they choose, our nation needs leaders who will listen to their fellow citizens and have empathy for their struggles. We believe this scholarship will produce a new generation of leaders committed to thoughtfully addressing and finding solutions to our toughest problems.
