The priorities of the Office of the Provost are to ensure the highest quality of liberal arts and sciences curriculum; recruitment and development of a diverse, highly qualified faculty; manage available resources; support undergraduate research and ensure excellence in student learning.
The provost oversees the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences, College of Social Sciences, Luter School of Business, Trible Library, and various academic centers. Other departments and programs include international studies, the Honors Program, sponsored programs, undergraduate research and creative activity, graduate studies, and assessment and accreditation.
The provost works closely with an advisory council of academic deans, vice provosts, associate provost, faculty senate president and other department directors supporting academic affairs, including finance and administration, faculty recruitment, curriculum management and course evaluations.
