Confidential Support
Christopher Newport University’s Office of Accessibility and Care Team Support serves as a safe and confidential resource for students who have experienced or are experiencing traumatic events such as sexual assault, sexual misconduct, relationship abuse, stalking and other related concerns. We cultivate an inclusive environment where all students feel heard, supported, and valued. We promote a student first campus by providing an atmosphere of listening, understanding and showing compassion while providing resources to all students. We will provide resources to students and guide them through the Title IX process if they choose to make an official report.
Exception: for community safety reasons, there are exceptions which we are required to notify school officials:
- Intent to harm self or others, suspected abuse or neglect of a minor, elder, or other vulnerable adult, response to a subpoena or court order, and medical emergency
To connect with a Confidential Support please call (757) 594-7458 or email careteam@cnu.edu.
